Paris Photo 2014

Every year in November, Paris hosts the most wonderful month of photographic exhibitions. Luckily for us, just about all of them do not ban the taking of photos in the venues, so be prepared for an onslaught. These photos are from the opening exhibition held in the Grand Palais over a period of four days

Right where we live

The streets around us are fabulous - it is a bit like living in a village in the middle of Paris. Everything from the exotic to the day to day living essentials are within a short walk

In the Rue Jacob:
DM's favourite store - they sell antique manuscripts - obviously very successfully

This shop sells old medical books and curiosities

My favourite chandelier

Our usual 6pm meeting place, no matter what the weather

At La Palette, where some play cards all day long

More essentials

Dior at it best and most expensive

...and at last something for the men
