Started out - Lost in the Loire... and sometimes, in translation... Now back in Europe…re translation - apart from French, I have no Swiss German, Austrian or Czech – should be fun

Afternoon tea in the parish of St Mary
What a lovely afternoon - drinking tea and eating jam & cream sponge cake in our friends delightful country cottage, discussing jewellery. Perfect.

A Day at the Beach
Here we are in sunny Jersey - Rozel Harbour to be exact - what you can't see in this photo is the incessant rain and high winds.
Who cares - I still love it. As I often say "I love a bit of weather".
We extricated ourselves from the house and left it in the good hands of our friends, managed by the real owner of the place, Roy. All is well.
So we leave behind the vagaries of the new watering system - and wouldn't you know it - there has been quite a lot of rain since its installation; thoughts of making cheese and greengage champagne are on hold, as we look forward to the exploration of all things French. What timing - Mont d'Or cheese is just in season.
Here I have cooked line caught sea bass and wild rabbit from Yorkshire and we have had a delicious traditional Sunday lunch with the Bellamys. Hi from them to all our travelling friends who made it to St Miguel d'Allende in Mexico in 2008. Hola.
Off to La Belle somewhere around the 15th, so keep posted for a few more delightful pictorial treats that Jersey has to offer before then. Thank you cousin Ian for the loan of the SAAB - much appreciated until the little Jazz is allowed to put its party frock on for France.
Until sometime when the rain stops...........
