This is why we we came to Jersey at this time
Did you spot this chap in the photos above?
At the end of the night.....
...and a wonderful time was had by all
Ron making the official speech
and Ursula saying thank you
Started out - Lost in the Loire... and sometimes, in translation... Now back in Europe…re translation - apart from French, I have no Swiss German, Austrian or Czech – should be fun

As we leave Paris on the TGV
in a blinding snow storm. I leave you with a few snaps of autumn in Durtal in the Loire, DM's favourite spot for photographing the countryside.
It seems ages since we were there - Paris was such a contrast. Both are wonderful
In the station at Montparnasse there lives a tiny fire truck. How sensible!
Our TGV was delayed due to the snowstorm and we were given lunch "on the house"
A good opportunity for DM to use his Christmas present from Catherine
What a star!!!!!
Below is another ad for my favourite "Orangina"
Saucy!
So next post will be from Jersey - we will be there for a week
A timely reminder.....
....of what can happen on the roads
Received this link below from Gary Rhodes in Tassie. Thanks for that Gary
It is worth watching

Christmas is coming
...and that means more food!
Squashed bottle Christmas tree at the Louvre
Had a lovely lunch at Catherine's house in Paris, also attended by Clarrie and Nicolas, her daughter and son, and Nicolas' fiancé, Maude. Catherine's food was superb. This is the starter - scallops with pistachio, cauliflower and chilli soup and langoustines with a lemon grass mayonnais.
Merci milles fois Catherine. Bisous.
Our last dinner in Paris was in the oldest remaining house in Paris, built in 1407,
Restaurant "Nicolas Flamel". The supporting beam in this photo has been carbon dated at
1000 years old.
A lovely meal in a great atmosphere

Some stylish Paris people
Vassilissa - a lovely girl we met in a gallery at a photographic exhibition. She is an up and coming photographer herself
Outside a shop
In front of Notre Dame
Happy smiley people on one of the bateaux mouches
On the quay nearby
We were in Paris for the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death
Having an animal with you when begging is de rigeur. Having two surely has to be better
