I have to tell you, I have a Monet of my own

Not this one

Or this one

This one is all mine...

More Giverny

I'm sorry I can't help it - and DM has given me so many wonderful photos...

Reflections in the pond

A rarer kind of Impatiens

More Colchicums

Dahlias - wonderful autumn bloomers

A little island in the middle of the pond

The island covered in bamboo and ivy

I have always wanted some weeping willows

The Monet Garden at Giverny

I have wanted to come here for years. Never managed it - even though I lived about four hours drive and a ferry ride away. I should have made the effort and it would have become an annual pilgrimage.

No wonder DM felt very much at home. It is like Stanwell Hall on steroids

Of course we didn't have the lake

Dahlias

and Daturas

Backlit Sunflowers

As it is autumn there are not so many visitors there. I believe it is packed in the summer

End of season blowsy border

Colchicums in the grass

Much more to come...

Giverny Mill

We arrived late in to Giverny, after dark. So imagine our surprise when the next morning we woke up to thick fog and these great images. We went for a walk after breakfast in the garden and around the watermill
