At La Grand Épicerie, part of Le Bon Marché

We bought our Christmas groceries at the grocery shop which is attached to Le Bon Marché. What a place to shop. Exquisite food, beautifully presented

Many street corners in Paris have seafood displays like these every day, for in house and take away

We also had a couple of meals at Le Vagenende in the Boulevard St Germain. Top class in every way

Large Burgundy snails

Milles Feuilles of crab and avocado

Pudding with cognac

My favourite - Ile Flottante - feather light soft meringue on a vanilla custard base

Michael's herring salad

Sasha and I had the  braised beef marrow - scrumptious

One of our meals there - a good time was had by all

Our Christmas decor - decorating out of a suitcase. Handmade and homely
