Here we are. Can hardly believe it after the amazingly stressful morning on the day we caught the ferry to St Malo. Enough to say that it started at 7.30 and went on and on and on until we were the last ones to board at one o'clock. Thank heaven it was running late or we would not have made it. We rushed around like headless chooks between having a fog light fitted on the Jazz, getting it passed through customs(yet again, as the law changed last month re EU carbon emissions), finally receiving a Jersey registration number, having the number plate printed and getting insurance cover for France. I think we packed and unpacked the car about 4 times in all of this - and thanks to cousin Ian, and wife Tracy, for the breakfast that kept us sane....and for the help with the DVS & the garage....and for going to the dock and telling the boat not to leave without us!!!
Anyway that is all behind us now and we are unpacked and settled in to Vine House until the 20th Nov when we go walkabout for three weeks. Back here in Dec. for the rest of the stay. Have a look at where we are.

Now we are off to explore.
Started out - Lost in the Loire... and sometimes, in translation... Now back in Europe…re translation - apart from French, I have no Swiss German, Austrian or Czech – should be fun

The last photos from Jersey (for a while)
More from the Hort & Ag show - hardly the best angle for the girls (four legged variety)
Can't seem to get a good decent one of the front of them from himself.
Lunch at the Bellamy's - followed by a photo session with the family.
Below - a different view of Gorey with Mont Orgueil castle (12thC)
St Catherine's Wood
Yet another lunch - a paté made by Michael, a great beef casserole and wonderful cheese to follow.
Followed by more jewellery discussions and coffee made by Tanios, served in the sitting room.
Getting pretty excited now as the little Jazz is to have a new fog light fitted in the morning, a new registration plate printed at the local garage and then off to France on the midday ferry to St Malo.
I am told there are loads of strikes in France at the moment - could make an interesting trip.
Next bulletin will be from La Belle...........
