Still at the Louvre

Well, there is just so much to see

Cheeky monkey

DM says that if he had not been taking this shot you could have seen him taking "un verre" roughly where the rectangular white sign is behind the chairs. We have taken to rosé wine in a big way since we have been in France. The French drink it as an aperatif with a shot of grapefruit juice in it.
Haven't had the heart to try it yet - but I suppose, when in Paris.......

....and here's another cheeky monkey in the middle of the road, in the Champs Elysées with the Arc du Triomphe in the distance

  1. Un verre vin rosé au pamplemousse...sons rafraîchissantes.
Give it a crack and let me know.

  2. The headless angel intrigued me. Just for others who are as ill-informed - it is the Winged Victory of Samothrace, a marble sculpture of the Greek goddess Nike and incredibly is thought to have been sculpted in around the year 190 BC. While the loss of her head is unfortunate it is thought to enhance the statue's depiction of the supernatural...can't say I agree with that, but then I am far from a great connoisseur of art in any form.
