We just bought this ring from a jeweller called Isaac Katz, who was recommended to me by Jo White (of The Fabulous Mrs Fox in Brunswick Heads). He is in Santa Rosa in Palermo.
What a lovely man. The ring is cast in sterling silver from a slice of a seed from a tree here. The closest I can get to a name is Sweet Gum Tree - not sure what it is really. Anyway, the ring is very naive and simple - the complete opposite to what I do really, and I like it!
He also does small bronze sculptures which are too heavy to take back to OZ, unfortunately.
